The Center for Responsive Politics is a non-partisan, non-profit research group based in Washington, D.C. that tracks money in politics, and its effect on elections and public policy. The Center’s work is aimed at creating a more educated voter, an involved citizenry, and a more responsive government.

Chilling Effects aims to help you understand the protections that the First Amendment and intellectual property laws give to your online activities. They are excited about the new opportunities the Internet offers individuals to express their views, parody politicians, celebrate their favorite movie stars, or criticize businesses. But they’ve noticed that not everyone feels the same way. Anecdotal evidence suggests that some individuals and corporations are using intellectual property and other laws to silence other online users. Chilling Effects encourages respect for intellectual property law, while frowning on its misuse to “chill” legitimate activity.

Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility
CPSR is a global organization promoting the responsible use of computer technology. Incorporated in 1983, CPSR educates policymakers and the public on a wide range of issues. CPSR has incubated numerous projects such as Privaterra, the Public Sphere Project, EPIC (the Electronic Privacy Information Center), the 21st Century Project, the Civil Society Project, and the CFP (Computers, Freedom & Privacy) Conference. Originally founded by U.S. computer scientists, CPSR now has members in 26 countries on six continents.
Congress Watch
Congress Watch champions consumer interests before the U.S. Congress and serves as a government watchdog. They lobby to strengthen health, safety and environment protections; demand an end to corporate subsidies; fight to preserve citizen access to the courts to redress corporate wrongdoing; and seek to ensure a strong democracy by exposing the harmful impact of money in politics and advocating for comprehensive campaign finance reform.

The CryptoRights Foundation (CRF) is a human rights security organization which brings expertise in the science of cryptography to bear on the security and safety of the social justice community and the general Public.
